NBA looks to have more teams wear short-sleeved jerseys next season
According to an article on ESPN.COM Darren Rovell reports that the NBA is...
Unfortunately for Desean Jackson, the Eagles weren’t so willing to buy in to his hold out and he has returned to camp. Offseason has began and well Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans continues to hold out in hopes of restructuring his contract and making some more bucks!
Johnson is only set to make $880k this year, and as one of the star players of the team, Johnson fills as though he deserves a bit more, even with the risk of him losing $30k a day while holding out and missing camp.
Judging by the comments made by Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt today, it seems as if the two sides are close to a deal:
“Even though he has two years left on his contract, we’d like him to go in,” Reinfeldt said. “He could go to meetings, get to know the new coaches, he can learn the scheme. He doesn’t have to practice, but it’s something we want to get done.
“Again, we’re willing to make him the highest-paid running back in the history of the NFL. That’s kind of where we are.”‘
There’s only one thing wrong with this picture though. According to BlackSportsonline, Chris Johnson himself says that the Titans intentions to make him the highest paid running back is “news to him”…
Johnson is from my hometown of Orlando and I do wish he gets what he wants. I’ve seen the specials that NFL Network and ESPN has done on this mans talents, athleticism, and speed and the boy if good.
I tried to find another video, but I had to use this one as well. Check out clips of Chris Johnson in action. If he performs like THIS during the 2011 season, I don’t think anyone would argue about him being the highest paid RB in the league and HISTORY.
