I tweeted before the fight and spoke on how fights are all about the “HYPE” surrounding a match, never really about the actual fight. I believe the Ortiz and Mayweather fight proved my point.

While the aftermath of the fight was nothing short of pure comedy, some are believing that the fight was staged.

BlackSportsOnline had a nice illustration of the fight. Here’s the summary before we give you video:

For three rounds Floyd Mayweather did what Floyd Mayweather always does. He was simply spectacular and was dominating Victor Ortiz in every shape, form and fashion.

Then in the 4th round in my mind Mayweather thought he could get the KO because he came out very aggressive. In turn he left himself open and Ortiz landed his most meaningful punches of the round.

I wouldn’t say Mayweather was hurt, but Ortiz had his attention.

That’s when Ortiz for reasons unknown headbutts Mayweather in the corner. I don’t know if it was out frustration or he was trying to dirty up the fight, but it was a clear and blatant foul.

As Joe Cortez tries to clean everything up first Ortiz kisses Mayweather on the cheek, after that Ortiz is told to go to neutral corner.

It appears Cortez resumes the fight, but Ortiz still is trying to hug it out. That is when Mayweather hits him with the “two piece and a biscuit.” <<these are not my words. But funny none the less. *giggles
