Basketball Wives Gloria Govan and Lakers Matt Barnes Call it Quits and End Relationship

Just as I started to really like the on camera chemistry between Basketball Wives Gloria Govan and Fiance Matt Barnes of the Lakers, the couple has announced its quits. Coincidence or not, the statement from Matt Barnes was released today before the airing of the new episode of BBW.

Matt Barnes publicist sent out this email today regarding a statement from Matt Barnes.

Statement from Lakers Forward Matt Barnes:
I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria (Govan’s) relationship.   We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time.  We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.

While the couple seemed to be doing fine on the show, the gossip and rumor mill of turmoil in the relationship has been in talk. Guess it’s safe to say that Basketball Wives LA 2 has quite the plot already. Gloria Govan living as a single woman without Matt, Laura Govan and her engagement/marriage to babydaddy Gilbert Arenas, and possibly Draya moving her son and mother out to LA. *shrugs.
