Not Worth His New Mega Deal? Tennessee Titans Bench Chris Johnson

Not sure what it is that’s effecting Chris Johnson and his performance thus far this season, but you’d think that after holding out, missing out on $30,000/day and then getting what you want and signing a $53.5million deal, a guy of his talent would step up and show he’s worth every penny. *shrugs. Not quite.

During yesterday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts,  Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson was benched in favor of Javon Ringer in the fourth quarter.

Johnson only rushed for 34 yards on 14 carries today and has only produced 268 yards on 93 carries and 1 touchdown this season,  since signing his new mega deal.

Ringer on the other hand ran for 60 yards on 14 carries during Sunday’s game against the Colts.

According to Titans head coach Mike Munchak,  Johnson and Ringer will continue to split carries.
