It’s time for college hoops!!! *jumps for joy*

With the NBA lockout still in effect, basketball fans will be tuned in more than ever to college ball. College hoops kicked off this past monday and for my female readers who may or may not be familiar with college hoops, I will be bringing you highlights, updates, and Eyecandy to get you familiar with sport.

First College Hoops Eyecandy is Dexter Strickland, guard at UNC and Native of New Jersey. You can follow Dexter on Twitter @DStrick01. Also be sure to tune into the UNC-Duke game this Friday to catch Mr.Strickland in action.

Strickland was a starting guard during the 2010/11 season, also acquiring a new number – #1 instead of #5 from his freshman year. He averaged 7.5 points per game, shooting 25% from 3 point range and 45.6% from the deuce. He averaged 3.1 rebounds per game. He also set a new career high with 19 points in a game against William and Mary, surpassing his previous career-high of 14 points. His contributions helped North Carolina advanced to the elite 8 of the NCAA tournament.

He is now a junior and it will be nice to see what the 6’3 guard will bring to the Tarheels this season.
