Today’s discussion on ESPN’s First Take is “Have the Magic quit?” and I can see how this could be brought up. After a great start to the season, the Magic are now facing a 4 game losing streak. Every morning Howard’s teammates and the Magic organization are waking up to reports about their star player wanting to play with other players and adding teams to his ever growing list of “Dream Teams” he would like to play for.

I’ve said it once, and I’m going to say it again, someone PLEASE get this man a muzzle and tell him to just play basketball. The mockery that Howard is doing to his teammates and the Orlando Magic is no worse than Lebron and his “decision.” It is an embarrassment.

After stating he would love playing for the Bulls alongside Derrick Rose, reports now surface that the big man has contacted Stephen Jackson about possibly joining him in New Jersey. *blank stare.

According to IamaGM:

In a report on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Ric Bucher reports that Dwight Howard and Stephen Jackson are communicating about playing together.  He goes on to say that the Nets can improve their chances of acquriing Howard by making a trade for Stephen Jackson.  Here’s the transcript, with the full video below:

If they [Nets] want to improve their chances, my understanding is that Stephen Jackson & Dwight Howard have talked several times about playing together.  And would love to do so with the Nets with Deron Williams at the point guard setting them up.  If the Nets want to improve their chances of getting Dwight Howard, making a deal for Stephen Jackson as well should be on their menu.

According to from ESPN SportsCenter:
