Oakland Raiders Thinking of Moving to Los Angeles

LA seems to have it all. Two basketball teams with super stars, a baseball team with Matt Kemp, a soccer team with David Beckham and the best Chicken and Waffles spot in the world. One thing they don’t have……a football team. But that could all change soon as there are talks of multiple football teams looking to make the move to the city of Angels.

On Monday, a report came out saying that the St. Louis Rams were considering moving back to Los Angeles, CA. Now it’s being said that the Oakland Raiders are considering moving the team back to Southern California Also.

The timetable is yesterday. So that’s where it is. We’ve got to get a stadium. We’ve got to get that done. It’s such a competitive business. It really is competitive. We can’t compete for a lot of the players that other teams can, at times. 

Even though he’s talked to the Los Angeles group, AEG, about moving the team to L.A., he hasn’t received an offer he likes. Remember, the Raiders did play in Los Angeles from 1982 to 1984.

Davis stressed the importance of staying in Oakland and also getting a new NFL stadium:

We’re trying to get something done up here but if we can’t, we’ve got to get something done somewhere because we need to be able to compete, and that’s where it’s at.

I can bet all of my money that Oakland fans would NOT be happy with this move. Raiders fans are some of the most loyal football fans in the league. To move the team to LA could be bad news all the way around.
