Memorial Day Weekend Las Vegas: Rules on Partying with the Ballers
Memorial Day weekend is but right around the corner (Literally) and everybody...
Derrick Rose missed his 2nd game due to back spasms as he sat out Sunday’s afternoon game against the Boston Celtics. The Bulls star has been experience these nagging back spasms for the past couple weeks and his has clearly affected his performance in the games he tried to play through the pain. Just last week he left the game early in the 1st qtr against the New York Knicks and had less than impressive performances against the Nets and Hornets where he was held to only 4 and 6 points.
Rose is seeking to visit a back specialist where he plans to rid of this problem. According to Chicago Sports Life:
These back spasms seem to be a relatively new development for the Bulls’ point guard. Before Sunday’s game, Rose was quoted as saying “The first time I remember (the back problems) happening were in high school. But in college I didn’t have it. First couple of years (in the NBA) I didn’t have it. All of a sudden, it just happened now. Hopefully (Monday) I’ll meet with some people and try to figure something out.”
The people Rose hopes to meet with are back specialists in Chicago. Until D-Rose meets with these new doctors, there’s no telling how long he could be out. Back spasms are an injury that can plague a player for weeks or months. The best thing to do might be to sit him, not let him play through the pain. Anyone that’s seen Derrick Rose play knows he wants to be on the court every possession of every game, giving 110%, but he really needs to sit for an extended period of time.
According to ESPN, Rose said has had a hard time walking without pain for the last few days. He continues to get stim treatment while the organization tries to determine exactly what the issue is.
Luckily, the Bulls will not struggle much if Rose is needed to sit out acouple of weeks. The Bulls are probably the deepest team in the league and reign over the Eastern Conference. Back up point guard CJ Watson can easily handle taking the wheel.
What does this mean for All star Weekend? That is the question.
