Miami Heat Targets Ray Allen to Join Big 3

Ray Allen still has it in him, and as he approaches free agency at the end of this season, many teams are after him. It’s been reported that the Los Angeles Clippers had the greatest interest in signing the 3 point king but now is seems as though Miami is in the running to add Jesus Shuttlesworth himself to their roster.

According to  from Yahoo! Sports:

The Miami Heat are expected to make a strong run at signing him this summer, one league source said.

“First of all, the team has to be willing to have me back,” Allen said. “Then you have to look around to see what’s acceptable and who is capable of having me on the team and then you go from there. It’s hard to really say.”

While Miami has great shooters and should be in search of a big man, Ray Allen could only make the Heat that much of a tougher team. His outer range shooting will spread the floor and allow James and the other to drive in and dominate the paint. Should be interesting where Allen ends up during the off season. Not a huge Heat fan so I’d like to see him land elsewhere.
