Amare Stoudemire Fined $50,000 For Gay Slur in DM on Twitter

I don’t know why these athletes continue to use such gay slurs, whether they say it under their breath or think they’re getting away with something by sending it over a social network. We are in a day of age where ANY and EVERYTHING you say can and will be used against you. Freedom of speech? Well that comes with a price tag when you play a professional sport.

Guess these athletes still have to come out of pocket in order for them to learn a lesson. Although numerous athlete’s have paid the cost for homosexual slander such as Bulls Joahkim Noah and Lakers Kobe Bryant, they continue to use such language. For what reason? Who knows.

We are in a day of age where majority have an Iphone, a phone that comes with the special feature of screenshotting just about anything that shows up on the screen. This screenshot and Twitter DM below cost Stoudemire $50,000.

Oh Amare. You are such a Twitter Thug.
