Knicks are Intersted in Signing Derek Fisher

Derek Fisher’s time in a Thunder may be short lived as the New York Knicks are interested in signing him once the season ends. The Knicks will most likely seek Fisher for a leadership role amongst a team that lacks a leader. Melo has yet to step up as a leader and is still having a struggle with learning to play alongside forward Amare Stoudemire.

Fisher has looked good in first 2 games and may be increasing free-agent MV. #Knicks will have interest for the vet. minimum ($1.4 million). “This is his 8th Finals in 16 years,”Brooks said. “As a player you wish you can get there once. He still has good games in him, and he’s helped us win a lot of games since he has been with us. He’s helping this team win this year, and he’s going to help this team win many years with all the things that they’ve took from him this past two or three months.’’

I personally like seeing Fisher light it up in a Thunder uniform on one of the youngest teams in the league with players averaging between 22-24 years of age. Knicks fans, is this a move that would be beneficial to the team?
