Nate Robinson Planning to Join the NFL During NBA Lockout

While much of the NBA is taking their talents overseas during the NBA lockout, it seems as though Nate Robinson of the Oklahoma City Thunder is planning to take his talents from the court to the field.

Well Nate told SLAM on the phone that if the NBA lockout is prolonged, “I might go play football…Do something that nobody’s tried to do.”

And no guy, Nate isn’t talking pop warner football. Nate mentions how played football in high school and would like to venture into that sport. Of course the NFL Lockout is also still in effect so I’m not sure how far Nate’s football dreams will go.

Here’s a video of Nate on the green back in High school.

Random Sports Fact: Class of 2002, Nate initially attended the University of Washington on a football scholarship, after being the Seattle Times Class 3A State Player of the Year in football (senior year:1,200 yards rushing, 500 yards receiving, 21 touchdowns…ranked 17th best football athlete in the nation).
