Not sure what his “job” or bussiness is now, but I’m guessing Mr.Rodney White runs his own bussiness. Or he has a habit in which he came up with a way to save money, since he’s no longer making NBA money.
White was the #9 draft pick in the 2001 draft for the Detroit Pistons. White hasn’t been in the league since 2005 after stints with the Pistons, Nuggets, 76ers and Warriors.
Jocksandstilettojill, pointed out a good point when she said this is why it’s SO important for athletes to have a transition plan. You can’t play D-league or get signed overseas for the rest of your life if the NBA doesn’t work out. What is done with all this free eduation that student “athletes” recieve right after high school? Are these degrees not put to use? Are they even doing their own work in college? Doesn’t seem to be the case.
Nene Hilario has decided to opt out of his contract with the Denver Nuggets and become an unrestricted free agent. Hilario was the highlight of Denver’s team and while it is not concrete that he will be walking away from the franchise, it seems very likely that another team will make him an offer he will choose not to refuse.
Denver made it into the playoffs and put on a pretty good show against the Thunder, but were not able to find scoring edge enough to dominate the series. The western conference is a lot more stacked than the eastern conference is. Denver has to find their Batman from somewhere or they will continue to make it to the postseason and never truly get anywhere. The Nuggets tried to hustle together a proposal that would make Hilario stay, but clearly that was not option.
When Allen Iverson returned to the states to rest, instead of having surgery, for a painful calcium mass developing on his right calf, everyone speculated that he would be making his stay in the United States longer than anticipated.
He and his agent both declared that he would be returning to Turkey to play out his career there, but there had to be an itch that a Turkish league just could not scratch as Iverson now wants to return to the US to retire in the NBA. Why wouldn’t he want to?
His greatest years came as a part of the Philadelphia 76ers franchise, including leading the organization to the Finals. No one has forgotten how incredible Iverson was back in those days, but then again no one has forgotten how much of a problem he caused within teams he ventured off to afterwards. The other night I stayed up late watching the Jimmy Kimmel show where it seemed to be basketball edition. On top of Blake Griffin doing a skit, a Dallas Maverick fan competing with a Miami Heat fan for Finals tickets, he also had a skit on Ink in the NBA hosted by none other than Mike Tyson. Not sure if he has ANY right to talk about someone else and their choice of tattoos, but I guess that’s part of the comedy.
Check out the video where Mike Tyson dishes out on Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Kenyon Martin, Marquis Daniels, Stevenson, and Birdman’s tats.
I guess after a blistering end to a rocky season, Kenyon Martin weighed his options. Trina is a beautiful woman and Martin is not too bad himself. It’s being reported by various websites that the two have reconciled and gotten back together. I mean let’s be honest. There are far worst things than being in a relationship with someone who can maintain on her own.
**Disclosure: If you are not a rapper or NBA player I do not suggest you try to recreate or attempt to immulate any tattoos you are about to witness. May cause you to never have a real job, be stereotyped as a thug, or even looked at as walking coloring book.**
