Young Money’s own Drake recently threw the first opening pitch at the Cleveland Indians game and also did a pre interview where he shares with everyone that he used to play baseball when he was younger.
We can all bet his pitch looked better than Wizards’ John Wall, who’s pitch fell way short of the base.
LA Laker guard Shannon Brown and wife/Grammy winning singer Monica recently sat down to taste appetizers for their upcoming wedding and shared with us their plans, their marriage, and family. The two seemed very much into each other and happy.
Many athletes must agree with Pacquiao in regards to the rubber man. As much as men brag about being in the “gold wrapper” club, many could care less about having one on. Guess it “feels” better to go raw. I wouldn’t know the sensation you guys get. Either way Manny recently gave us his views on condoms and contraceptives. It’s not yet final whether the NBA lockout will in fact take place yet but being how things are going and reports behind the scenes, the NBA will possibly have a work stoppage this offseason and face a lockout. While the NBA is able to pay their players much more than that of the NFL, I don’t see many players being forced to make ends meet elsewhere. I also heard the talk of alot of Charity basketball events to take place across the country.
Well Nets guard Deron Williams, although banking in $15million, is stating he’s considering playing overseas.
Roles reversed. Many Rappers wish they could be athletes, while athletes test out their luck in rapping. None ever become real successful. It becomes more of a joke. But it appears that Golden State Warriors’ guard Monte Ellis is serious about this rap thing. While sitting down with a local dj by the name DJ Chuy Gomez, Ellis speaks on upcoming singles and hopes of getting his own label. Micheal Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles recently sat down with the Wall Street Journal for an interview. After being in jail for 18 months and having the whole city of Atlanta and the NFL turn their back on him after the being charged with dog fighting and conspiracy, Mike Vick has had his share of scrutiny and slander. Mike has slowly gotten his new endorsements and as a player is slowly being respected for what he does on the field. Knowing that Singer Chris Brown is going through the same restoration with his image and under the media’s scope, Vick offered him some advice.
“The advice that I would give to Chris Brown is to put your faith in God. Don’t worry about what people say about you. Words will never hurt you. You know, the things that people say out they mouth can cut you deep and sometimes your tongue can be sharper than a knife. Continue reading Video:Mike Vick Gives Advice to Chris Brown→
I’ve been waiting for a reason to put my girlfriend in my mind on here again. Rihanna recently spoke with Ryan Seacrest about her new risque song S&M, about if she thinks she intimidates men, and on Khloe and Lamar. She also speaks on her S&M remix with Britney Spears and how she wants a man to put her in her place.Clearly, that didn’t go so well with Chris Brown. But anyway, I still love this girl. I recently got the chance to catch up with Fabian Washington, corner back of the Baltimore Ravens. In the interview, we discussed his take on the lockout, his career as an NFL athlete, and what he does when he is not playing football. I also got an insight of what Fabian Washington has in rotation on his ipod and what his pregame meal consists of. I must say, even after seeing Charlie Bell of the Warriors has in his fridge at home, I think it’s safe to say the diet on athletes isn’t exactly what you would expect.
When did you start playing football and when did you realize this would be your career?
Fabian: I started playing football at the age of 9 and always wanted to play in the NFL. I didn’t realize I had the talent to make it a career until my sophomore year in college.
How is it playing for the Ravens and do you still get nervous or rush before games?
Fabian: Playing for the Ravens was a dream come true. We won a lot of games and came close to making it to the Super Bowl in ’07. Playing with guys like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed makes all the players around them raise there level on play. Before every game I do still get nervous.
